Getting started
Send clear photos first. We ask for measurements only where they matter.
What do you need from me?
Three clear photos are usually enough: the part, the break, and whatever it mounts to. Put a coin or ruler in the shot for scale. If a measurement matters, we ask before quoting.
Do I need a CAD file?
No. Clear photos are enough to start. We measure the part, or 3D scan it when the shape calls for it, and build the model ourselves.
Can you copy a part I already have?
Yes. That is our most common job. Send photos of the original, and tell us how many copies or spares you want.
Can you make a part from photos only?
Yes. Clear photos are enough to start. We measure the part, or 3D scan it when the shape calls for it, and build the model ourselves. If you can send the original, we can check the fit against it.
What if the part is no longer sold?
That is the work we do. Send photos of what is left and we remake it, then check the fit.
How do I measure without calipers?
Use a ruler, tape measure or coin in the photo. A straight-on photo with a ruler in the same plane beats a guessed number. We ask for calipers only when the fit depends on it.
What if my part is worn or has no flat reference?
It can still work. We look at mating surfaces, symmetry, hole centers, nearby hardware and how the part failed. If the missing shape cannot be worked out with confidence, we say so before taking the job.
When do you use 3D scanning?
A scan helps capture a curved or irregular shape. A simple bracket is often quicker to measure. Either way, we rebuild what matters in CAD (computer-aided design) and check the critical fits.
Cost + timing
One firm price for the agreed scope, upfront.
How much does 3D printing cost on Guam?
Every job gets one firm price after a free assessment. The minimum order is $75. A 50% deposit starts the work; jobs under $150 are paid in full up front.
How long does it take?
We reply within 48 hours. The quote tells you how long your part will take.
Do spares cost less?
Yes. Spares ordered with a copy cost less per part, because the engineering is spread across the parts.
What happens if the scope changes?
If the part needs a different material, more revisions, a larger quantity or a new requirement after the quote, we stop and re-quote that change before going further.
How do I pay?
When a job reaches payment, we send an invoice. You can pay by check or by ACH bank transfer.
Materials + fit
Engineering-grade plastics, matched to the job and checked.
Which plastic will you use?
Tell us what the part has to survive, like sun, water or heat, and we choose. You can ask for a specific material in your request.
Which plastic is best for a boat part?
Tell us where the part lives and what it has to survive, like sun, salt water or UV, and we choose. ASA and ASA-CF are the materials we use for outdoor and marine parts. You can ask for a specific material in your request.
Will it be as strong as the original?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Strength depends on material, shape, print direction, heat, UV, chemicals and how the part is loaded. We pick engineering materials and design for the use, but we will not pretend every printed part equals a molded or machined original.
What tolerances can you hold?
We design for functional fit rather than one universal tolerance. Holes, slots, mating faces and snap features get the attention. Very tight precision work may not suit 3D printing.
Can you match color or finish?
Often close, not always exact. Fit and material come first. We can talk through color, texture and finish before quoting.
Is every part checked?
Yes. Every part is fit-checked before handoff.
What we take on

Is there anything you will not make?
We pass on food- or drink-contact parts, safety-critical load-bearing parts, firearms, and simple file-to-print jobs that do not need reverse engineering. Military or defense requests are reviewed before we commit.
Where are you?
On Guam. Parts are made in our workshop on Guam, and visits are by appointment. We don't ship parts overseas.
Do you keep my file? Can I reorder?
Yes. We keep each job file, so a reorder starts from the model on record. If you'd rather we didn't keep it, tell us before handoff.
Do you work with businesses?
Yes. Facilities, fleets, marine operators and shops send us parts that keep failing. We keep the file, so the next one is a reorder, not a new job. See PolyForm for business.
