A crash took the piece. The road exam wouldn’t wait.
A snapped tail-light piece left a DRZ400 not street-legal two days before a road exam. Modeled and printed in clear PETG so the plate light still shines through.
The job
A piece of the DRZ400’s tail-light assembly snapped off in an accident, the part that lets the license-plate light show through. Without it the bike wasn’t street-legal, and his motorcycle road exam was two days out. The only way to buy that piece is the entire tail-light assembly, days of shipping away at best.
So we worked off what was left. We modeled the single broken piece, matched the mounting points, and printed it in clear PETG so the plate light still shines through cleanly. It bolted back onto the existing assembly, passed as legal, and he made his road exam with a day to spare.
