One reverse-engineered nut put six stands back in service.

The job

The locking nut that holds these extendable banner stands at height had cracked clean through, and the maker only sells the complete pole, never the nut on its own. The customer had about six frames sidelined for the same failure, roughly $150 apiece, sitting in storage with nowhere to go.

We calipered a good original, rebuilt the conical thread in CAD, and printed new nuts in carbon-filled PETG. One proven design dropped onto every frame, so instead of scrapping the lot they threaded on a fresh nut and put the whole set back to work.
